No time for “me time”
I didn’t realize how little time I have for myself now that I am a working Mom. As I was chatting with my Mom today, I put together my daily schedule for her.
Here it is:
- 6am – Wake up, shower, put myself together, eat breakfast (maybe), make my lunch (maybe)
- 7am – Nurse Cambria
- 7:30am – Gather all the things I need for work – purse, phone, badge, pump w/accoutrements, laptop, lunch
- 8am – Arrive at work
- 5pm – Drive home
- 5:30pm – Arrive home, kiss husband (hopefully), nurse/ play with Cambria while husband cooks dinner
- 6:15pm – eat dinner
- 6:30pm – talk with/play with/snorgle Cambria or clean up from dinner
- 7:30pm – bath time for Cambria
- 7:45pm – take Cambria out of the bath (screaming, because she loves it so), diaper, lotion, coo at, snorgle
- 8pm – Nurse Cambria to sleep
- 8:30pm – Cambria is put into bed (hopefully to stay there without crying)
- 8:45pm – Wash bottles, milk containers, and all pumping accoutrement (yeah, I like that word today), and fill the bottles for the next day.
- 9:15pm – tidy up or fold laundry
- 9:30pm – just sit and watch TV or read (usually a magazine because I only have 20 minutes and I don’t want to get to deep into anything)
- 9:50pm – Get ready for bed
- 10pm – Hopefully asleep
So where is there “Me Time”?
Yup… I just realized I don’t have much anymore.
