Um… Ew!

I have heard many people say, “Your body is just never the same again after having children.”

.

Now I know what they mean.

.

Cambria is 4 months old. I lost all the baby weight plus 5-10 lbs. But my clothes still fit funny.  I kind of feel like I need one of these:

.

(If you are squeamish about the body talk, stop reading now)

.

Even though I am a bit lighter than I was, my pants are more snug than pre-pregnancy. I think this is due to what my husband endearingly calls my “dun-lop”. Thanks to the c-section, I have this scar you see. It isn’t a horribly ugly scar. But it is there and it lets the skin above it “lop” over the top. As the weeks have gone on, the “lop” has gotten smaller. In fact, I wouldn’t even say it “lops” anymore. But there is definitely a squishiness that I don’t think is repairable without a nip and tuck. It doesn’t help that I also have stretch marks that look like I kept a cat in my bathing suit while I took a dip in antarctic waters.

.

Nobody told me you get stretch marks in other places than your belly either.

My entire family will be going on a cruise in a few months. (All 25 of us… 14 kids, 3 babies. Yeah, it is going to be interesting.)

I am going to have to wear a bathing suit. I haven’t done that in 2 years.

Ugh…
